The Board of Directors of Altın Rafineri Dünyası A.Ş. has adopted, as a guiding principle, the commitment to do everything necessary to ensure the occupational health and safety of its employees, to provide the required conditions, and to keep all tools and equipment complete and in good order — approaching occupational health and safety on the belief that "SAFETY COMES FIRST." For this principle to be applied, however, all employees must strictly comply with occupational health and safety rules in the work they perform, because no task is ever so urgent or important that it should endanger the life or health of our employees.
Every employee of Altın Rafineri Dünyası A.Ş. undertakes to comply with all applicable national and local occupational health and safety legislation (laws, statutes, and regulations), the requirements of the domestic and international organizations of which the company is a member, international agreements, and the contracts and specifications signed with the employer.
Altın Rafineri Dünyası A.Ş. regards it as a primary objective, in all of its activities, to prevent accidents at the source and thereby minimize their occurrence, and to work to prevent occupational illness. It also aims to eliminate every kind of hazard with minimal harm, and to address unavoidable hazards using the best known techniques so that no harm comes to employees, the facility, or the environment.
The duties, authorities, and responsibilities of everyone working at our company with respect to occupational health and safety have been defined and communicated to those concerned. Every resource will be mobilized to ensure that employees use their personal protective equipment, and the training, drills, and announcements necessary to build employees' sense of responsibility will be carried out. Emergency risks will be planned for and put into practice, and methods to protect worker health will be continuously researched.
To establish, support, and sustain the direction and objectives that ensure the implementation, continuation, and communication of the occupational health and safety management system across all of its activities, Altın Rafineri Dünyası A.Ş. has established and documented a Management System that fulfills the requirements of the ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System standard. To ensure the permanence and continuity of the system established and the measures taken, and to objectively demonstrate that the system is being adequately and effectively implemented in accordance with ISO 45001, performance will be measured through internal audits and evaluated through management review.
Objectives and targets have been defined to drive continual improvement; occupational health and safety management programs have been established in line with these objectives and targets; the authorities and responsibilities of individuals have been defined; and continuity has been ensured through training, awareness, and audit activities. Our subcontractors and suppliers will also be required to operate in accordance with the ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System standard.
The Board of Directors of Altın Rafineri Dünyası A.Ş. undertakes to comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Management System that has been defined, put into effect, and is being implemented, and to allocate the resources necessary for the system to operate as effectively as possible, in a manner that ensures work can be completed to the defined level and within the defined timeframe.
